Visitor Information

Everyone is welcome to St Saviour's whether it be to a service, social event, bell ringing, genealogy or viewing the wonderful architecture. Please read the information on this website, then contact the Vicar if you have any further questions. We look forward to meeting you.

The church is open on Friday Lunchtime from 11am for tea, coffee & cake, with soup lunch (or alternative) being served from midday. The church is also open for regular services.

Here we have put together some of the links we think may be most useful to you:

Below is a list of the some of the many facilities we offer. Please let us know if we can do anything else.

  • Toilets - in the church hall
  • Nappy changing facilities in the Bell Tower
  • Toy Bags for children and more toys in the Bell Tower
  • Large print books
  • Hearing loop system
  • Recordings of services - online or on CD - in case you missed it
  • Temporary ramps for wheel chairs
  • Coffee, tea and biscuits after the 9:30am Sunday service

Ensuring that everyone has access to the church is something we take very seriously. We have many regular attendees with disabilities at our church and provide several facilities (see above) to enable them to enjoy our services. For information on how to make this website more suitable for your needs, please view our Accessibility page. If we can assist in any other way, please let us know.

All visitors are welcome at St Saviour's Church and all services are open to newcomers. We have toilet facilities in the Church Hall, kiddies playbags, baby changing in the bell tower. We have temporary ramps available for wheelchairs (and pushchairs) and a deaf loop system for the hard of hearing.

Getting to St Saviour's Church is easy; we have plenty of parking and are on several bus routes. Buses 85, 86, 87, 327, 342 and X42 all stop just outside the church (on request). More details can be found from Traveline 0871 200 2233 (National Rate call) or First Group Buses. South Gloucestershire Council produce a nice booklet on Badminton Road Bus Services.

Our nearest railway station is Yate (2 miles, with direct buses), but Bristol Parkway on the London Mainline is only 6 miles away (buses from Church Road in Frampton Cotterell - 1 Mile).

If you come by car, we have a large carpark which can be accessed from Beesmoor Road (about 50m along Beesmoor Road from the Badminton Road traffic lights).

Our address is:
  St Saviour's Church,
  Beesmoor Road,
  Coalpit Heath,
  Bristol BS36 2RP.

and in fact the church can be found on the junction of Bell Road and Badminton Road at Ordnance Survey grid reference ST6738 8075 (36738 18075), as shown on the map.
