Church Partnerships
St Saviour's Church is involved in several local church partnerships:
- Local Ecumenical Partnership "Churches Together" - with St Peter's (Frampton Cotterell) and Zion United (also Frampton Cotterell).
- Deanery Partnership
The Local Ecumenical Partnership
The Anglican churches of St. Saviour's, Coalpit Heath and St. Peter's, Frampton Cotterell have joined with Zion United Church in a local ecumenical partnership. The Covenant was renewed in 1999 and United Services are held on three Sundays each year in the evening, one at each church. We share annual morning services and the incumbents sometimes take services in the other churches of the partnership. Cooperation is developing through Lent and other worship groups.
People from all three churches run the Summer Holiday Club. Children in years 1 to 6 at primary schools are welcome to come along and join in the activities.
On average 60 - 70 children aged 5 to 9 years come along to Holiday Club. In the 10 to 14 yrs age group around 40 to 50 children take part. We are well supported by the clergy and members of all three churches and all involved enjoy their time with us.
The three churches have come together to provide a group for children of 11 to 14 years of age from all three churches which is called "Rock Solid". Meetings are held on Friday evenings at Zion United Church.
