Here is a list of our groups. You are welcome to join any of these. Please contact the person listed or anyone else in the church to make sure of exact dates and times. We look forward to seeing you.
Crèche facilities are available in the bell tower during the 10 am service. 'Fun bags' are also available for young children and there are toilets in the church hall.
Discoverers (4-11 years)
Discoverers meet in church hall on the 3rd Sunday of the month at 9:45am for breakfast and activities. They then join the church service after communion. Contact Mary Head for more information.
Rock Solid (11-14 years)
Rock Solid for 11-14 year olds is run jointly with Zion and St Peter's and meets at Zion on Friday evenings.
Choir (children and adults)
A mixed choir of children and adults (male and female) practices at 7:30pm on Thursdays and sings on Sunday mornings, at weddings and at other special services. The choir is growing in number; four organists are available to play, including two younger members and tuition is currently available. They hold well attended monthly afternoon meetings, on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 2:15pm, in the church hall, with a variety of speakers. They also arrange 6 or 7 general interest evenings a year on various topics which are attended by up to 40 people. Members support diocesan projects and church activities and some do Cathedral welcoming once a month. Contact us for more information.
The Bell Ringers (children and adults)
An enthusiastic group which includes several younger ringers. The bells are rung on Sunday mornings and for weddings etc. For more information on the bells see our history pages. Practice is on Wednesday evenings from 7:45pm. Contact the Bellringers for more information.
Study groups meet during Lent and at other times, including courses for confirmation for children and adults. There are also introductory "Alpha" courses for new members wanting to know more about the church. Contact the Vicar for more information.
